Called to the principal's office

Before first period even began, I got summoned to the principal's office. He wanted to discuss this: Offered a final chance to change my mind, I was tempted for 1/2 a second to think about it for one more day. But, while my heart already aches when I think of saying good-bye to my dear friends, students, and co-workers, I know there's some other exciting adventure just around the bend...

And in August when I say farewell (or perhaps just "see you later") to all I've come to love these past 2 years, I know my heart and mind will be overflowing with gratitude for the experiences and memories.
