Can you believe I'll be starting my hike up Mt Fuji from this exact location in 8 weeks?!
Yah, I hope most of that 20' wall of snow melts before then :)
Yesterday, May 10, a couple friends & I drove up to the 5th station (where most people begin the journey to the summit) to find the snow still ridiculously high and more of the cold wet stuff falling from the cloudy skies. Another friend and I have our hike on the calendar for July 5, right after the official hiking season opens.
