Salmon Pie

In the latest cooking class, we made salmon pie with a cream sauce, soup, and steamed vegetables (a French menu, not Japanese ;)). This was the first lesson with a teacher who spoke ONLY Japanese...after about 1/2 hour (of a 2 hour class), my brain felt exhausted from concentrating so hard on the language. And while I kept smiling and nodding to the teacher, I could tell she was on to me. She was patient and kind, she showed me everything I needed to do and continued repeating, "Okay desu" (It's okay.) PS: the close up picture is not the plate I made, but the nicest looking one of the bunch :) It was all delicious.
