Crazy fish & other wacky stuff

A couple friends & I took the train 2 hours away for a short spring day trip on Saturday.
Mt Fuji impressed us along the way. Check out these insanely hungry fish we met at Niji-no-sato flower garden on the Izu peninsula.

This friendly shopkeeper practiced his English & gave us a deal on this fish-on-a-stick, that his relatives had just caught, cooked around a bed of charcoal. We also tried wasabi (horseradish) ice cream. Definitely two thumbs down on that :(

We saw tons of beautiful flowers though & had great weather for a day sight-seeing & playing.

How funny that the fish practically lined right up to get fed..they must be well-practiced at that. And I'm with you on the wasabi ice cream - such a letdown! Looks like you at least had good weather for your day trip though!
