First (official) day of Winter

We've had 20+ inches of snow already in December, and just today is the winter solstice.

So far this month I ~~

Watched a spectacular sunrise from atop a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River because:

"From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
the name of the LORD is to be praised."

Decorated a couple Christmas trees (with kids). Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right?! ... Of course four Christmas balls look good on one branch!Co-hosted a cousins sleepover at my (brave) sister's house.
Seven boys - Age 3 to 9.
Took me 2 days to recover ;) We ate whoppers - apparently an unusual snack for the boys - and 5 year old Grant is so used to "Tia Sarah" bringing funny Japanese treats that he didn't believe whoppers were from their local grocery store! :P

The boys used their creativity with an assortment of crackers, candy, and peanut butter ~

Hung out with Superman

Saw my niece stand alone!The month included many other happenings including my twice-weekly plasma donations, three holiday parties, a heavenly home-going, bell ringing for Salvation Army, two family birthdays, a pizza lunch buffet, and a partridge in a pear tree.

Well, except for the partridge, everything is true! :)
