Firsts

Today I experienced many firsts in Japan:

Rain & the stirrings of a typhoon
A day without biking
Taking the bus alone
Wondering how long it would take me to get to school via bus—and feeling a little afraid that it might take me the entire day
Thinking I should have just biked the 9k to school in the rain instead of trying to brave the bus station
Actually answering a man in Spanish (who spoke Japanese to me)—oops
Eating lunch with 5 female students who are in 3rd (12th) grade
Making a Japanese phone call—surprisingly we got our points across (I think) :)
Arriving safely home after a long adventure of learning more about the public transportation system
