Too big?

A friend from college flies in on Saturday (YAY!!) & tonight I'm doing some spring cleaning and preparation for her arrival. I needed to wash bedding so I pressed the button for what I :think: is the "bedding/super-duper big load" on the washing machine, added soap, stuffed one comforter in & shut the lid. Just now I checked on it, but nothing has moved. The water is filling & emptying, but the comforter looks & feels the exact same as when I started the wash cycle....hummm, this ought to be interesting. I sure hope the machine makes it through this load; I promise to never overfill it again! :)
